HEAP and EHEAP

The Emergency Home Energy Assistance program (EHEAP) will begin accepting applications November 1st and continue through March 31st, 2002. To be eligible for the program, a termination or threat of termination for gas or electric (whichever is the main source of heat) must have been received. EHEAP may be applied to security deposits and minir furnace repairs for homeowners. Clients using bulk fuel, ie kerosene, fuel oil, propane, coal or firewood, must be down to a ten day supply to apply for EHEAP.

Applications for HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program), PIPP Percentage of Income Payment Plan) and HWAP (Home Winterization Assistance Program and Targted Energy Efficieny Services may be applied for at this time. Income eligibility for assitance is 150% of the fedearl guidelines. Clients on SSI may use their award letters for proof of their income.
