Are you caring for one or more of these children? Washington/Morgan Counties Community Action in cooperation with Washington & Morgan Counties Family and Children First, Washington & Morgan Counties Children's Services and Washington & Morgan Counties Job and Family Services, is addressing the needs of these caregivers. Relatives or non-relative adults, who have temporarily or permanently taken over the care of any child/ren whose biological parents are unable or unwillling to provide for their care, often are unable to find answers to questions and concerns in all areas from childcare and medical/dental services to legal, financial and educational issues. With this new program, the Family Support Coordinator will serve as a short-term family guide and advocate for caregivers by providing the link to available services at the state and local level and assist in accessing those services.
