On Friday February 29, 2008, Washington-Morgan Community Action will host a baked steak benefit dinner for Shannah Hensler, former Director of Employment and Training. The benefit dinner will be held at the American Legion Post 64, 8th and Wooster, Marietta. The dinner will begin at 4:30 pm and end at 7:00 pm. An option of take out will be offered. Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for children. Tickets are on sale now at Washington-Morgan Community Action, 218 Putnam Street, Marietta and will also be available at the door on the night of the dinner. The menu will be baked steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, and roll. Water, coffee and tea will be served for refreshments. A country store and 50/50 drawing will take place at the dinner. Shannah worked as the Director of Employment and Training for 9 years at Washington-Morgan Community Action. Due to health reasons Shannah could not continue to work. During the nine years Shannah worked for Washington-Morgan Community Action she managed a variety of grants ranging from Flood Clean up to Summer Youth. The benefits of her work with Washington-Morgan Community Action will be visible in the communities far into the future.
