Donate, Volunteer, or Apply for a Secret Santa Visit! Remember Christmas morning as a child? The excitement was so great you could not sleep the night before. That perfect present was waiting under the tree, you just knew it. The minutes ticked away, but too slowly. Finally it was time, and you slid on your slippers and rushed down the stairs and raced to the Christmas tree. You turned the corner and saw that under the tree was absolutely nothing. Rather than feeling delighted and thrilled, all you could feel is sad and disappointed. This may not have been your experience, but it could be for many children in Washington County. A lot of hardworking individuals are finding themselves in a tough spot this Christmas season because of the bad economy. Trying to put gifts under the tree can be almost impossible. However, Washington County residents can relax a little more during this time thanks to the Secret Santa program. Through generous donations from the community, Washington Morgan Community Action can prevent the empty space under the tree. You can either sponsor a child or family, give monetary or toy donations or give your time to help purchase gifts and distribute them. This program is successful because of the support from the community.
